This warm and inviting looking flute is line bored from a solid blank of beautiful and very curly myrtle wood, with bands of inlaid crushed turquoise at the mouth and foot ends. The classic style bird/block is crafted from olive wood with a Peruvian walnut core, and sits atop an olive wood nest. The block is secured with laces of contrasting deer hide leather. The flute also features my signature hand burned "morning star" with inlaid crushed turquoise below the sound hole. Topped with multiple, hand rubbed coats of 100% natural oil and wax finish for a gentle, warm glow.
This is a beautiful and natural looking flute with a very round and loud voice. It plays with a very clear tone, and projects well with great stage presence and excellent backpressure. The overall length is 22" with a 7/8" bore and is very light and weighs 7.5 oz. It has an easy and comfortable reach for all players. The flute comes provided with a hand sewn fleece draw string bag for storage and protection. All flutes are shipped FREE Priority Mail with signature required and insurance.
