This rich looking flute is line bored from a solid blank of gorgeous mesquite wood, and has a lovely grain. This flute features rings of crushed malachite inlay at the mouth and foot ends. The flute also features my signature hand burned "morning star" with inlaid crushed malachite below the sound hole. The claw style bird block is crafted from mesquite with a black limba core and sits atop a malachite nest. The block is secured with laces of contrasting deer hide leather. Topped with multiple, hand rubbed coats of 100% natural oil and wax finish for a gentle, warm glow.
This is a super sexy looking flute with a large and full, and loud voice. It plays with a resonant and clear tone, and projects well with great stage presence and excellent backpressure. The overall length is 22" with a 7/8" bore and is very light and weighs 8.1 oz. It has an easy and comfortable reach for all players.
