Mahogany Key of Em, Native American Style Flute Tree of Life Designs

This warm and sexy looking flute is line bored from a solid blank of old growth South American mahogany, deep reddish brown and highly figured! The wood is a remnant of North Carolina's rich furniture-making past. The crescent moon shaped bird block is crafted from mahogany with a Peruvian walnut core, and sits atop a mahogany nest. The block is secured with laces of contrasting deer hide leather. This flute is nicely accented with sparkly inlaid bands of natural Paua abalone at the mouth and foot ends, along with my signature hand burned "morning star" with inlaid abalone cabochon below the sound hole. Finished with no less than 12 hand rubbed coats of natural hardening oils and waxes for a gentle, warm glow, to accent the beauty of this unique wood found from a local seller.
This is a rich and vibrant looking flute with a very warm, unique, resonant voice, and projects well with great stage presence, and plays almost effortlessly with excellent backpressure. The overall length is 22" with a 1" bore and weighs 10.5 oz. It has an easy and comfortable reach for all players.
