Beautiful Native Style flute in the key of Gm from Tree of Life Designs. Bored from a solid blank of beautifully red Eastern red cedar, trimmed with a fully tenoned black walnut cap at the mouth end, with a contrasting band of Alaskan yellow cedar, with thin burn rings above and below.
The claw style bird/block is made from black walnut with an Alaskan yellow cedar core, on an inlaid walnut nest, and is secured with contrasting deer hide laces. Finished with multiple coats of hand rubbed, food safe natural oils and waxes. Below the inlaid nest is an abalone cabochon that centers my hand burned morning star. This very lightweight and nicely balanced flute measures a total of 21" in length with a 7/8" bore diameter. The flute weighs 7 oz.
Tuned to a G minor pentatonic scale the warm, round voice projects very well and has great action. This flute also makes a great backpacker flute!. All of my flutes are currently provided with a hand sewn fleece draw string bag for protection. All flutes are shipped Priority Mail with signature required and insurance.
