Sinker Cypress Key of D#m Native American Style Flute
*FREE shipping US applied at checkout* Beautiful Native Style flute in the key of D#m from Tree of Life Designs. Bored from a solid blank of beautiful and lightweight old-growth sinker cypress. *Sound clip below
Hand crafted from a very rare piece of "Sinker Cypress" with a magnificently colored grain this six hole Native style flute is in the key of D#m. Line bored from a solid slab of cypress that was recovered from the floor of a Gulf Swamp where it has been estimated to be laying for several hundred years soaking minerals and aging to its current beautiful coffee brown color streaked with contrasting detail. I have a very limited supply of this wood and will surely regret when it is gone. The classic style bird/block is walnut with a sinker cypress core and sits atop a nest of walnut. The block is secured with contrasting laces of supple deer hide. The flute features inlaid bands of crushed malachite at the mouth and foot ends, and my signature hand burned "morning star" with inlaid crushed malachite at its center. The flute was soaked in a bath of natural and food safe herbal oils and finshed with a combination of natural oils and waxes.
Although the beautiful, tightly grained and uniquely colored wood is the star of this flute it is also beautifully voiced with a happy and bright tone, with great action that begs to be played. The overall length is 23-1/2" with a 1-1/8" bore and weighs 9 oz. Shipping includes Priority Mail, insurance and signature required USPS fees.
*All Tree of Life Flutes are electronically tuned for accuracy. Each is individually voiced for strength and quality of the sound as well as playability. They feature a modest back pressure, play well softly but especially love to be pushed. Each flute I make comes with my concern for your satisfaction in mind. My workmanship and your satisfaction are guaranteed
**Disclaimer: Some of the flutes that I make are Native American in Style only. My products are not Native made, I am not and make no claims to any Native heritage or Tribal affiliation.
