This stunning looking flute is line bored from a solid blank of beautiful and very curly maple, with bands of inlaid crushed red jasper at the mouth and foot ends. The claw style bird/block is crafted from more curly maple wood with a bloodwood core, and sits atop a maple nest. The block is secured with laces of contrasting deer hide leather. The flute also features my signature hand burned "morning star" with an inlaid red jasper cabochon below the sound hole. Topped with multiple, hand rubbed coats of 100% natural oil and wax finish for a gentle, warm glow.
This is a groovy looking flute with a solid, full, and loud voice. It plays with a very clear tone, and projects well with great stage presence and excellent backpressure. The overall length is 20" with a 7/8" bore and is very light and weighs 7 oz. It has an easy and comfortable reach for all players. The flute comes provided with a hand sewn fleece draw string bag for storage and protection. All flutes are shipped FREE Priority Mail with signature required and insurance.
