Native style, six hole flute in the key of F minor. Hand crafted from a solid blank of highly-figured, spalted, and naturally-colored red flame boxelder. It is finished with many coats of a hand rubbed, natural oil and wax finish. The classic style block is crafted of bloodwood with a boxelder core, and sits atop an inlaid bloodwood nest. This flute has red bands of pipestone inlaid at the mouth and foot ends. It also features my signature hand burned morning star with inlaid red jasper center. The block is secured with laces of contrasting color deer hide.
This strikingly figured flute has a nice bright and loud voice, very responsive, and lends itself well to performers who love to push their flutes! It has a rich and haunting voice that projects very well, and has great stage presence. The overall length is 23" with a 7-8" bore and weighs 8 oz. The flute comes provided with a hand sewn fleece draw string bag for storage and protection. All flutes are shipped Priority Mail with signature required and insurance.
