Uniquely crafted Native style flute in the key of Low Bass Gm. Made from heat treated, locally harvested golden bamboo. Mouthpiece tube is crafted from mahogany. The block and nest are crafted of mahogany with a cypress core, and is secured with contrasting deer hide laces. An extra large and striking looking red jasper cabochon is inlaid just beneath the nest and serves as the center for my hand burned "morning star". The mouthpiece is crafted to be sideblown for ease of play for such a large, low flute!
This Flute is FUN to play, and a great addition to any collection with it's low and mellow and resonant voice. Overall length is 38". Length from the blow tube to the bottom hole is 22" and the maximum finger spacing is 1.5" from center of holes, with offset finger holes for ease of play. Bore is approximately 1-1/2". Layout is for a right handed (right hand low) player. The flute weighs 33 oz. This flute may not be well suited to someone with very small hands/fingers. All of our flutes are currently provided with a hand sewn fleece draw string bag for protection.
All flutes are shipped U.S. FREE!
*All Tree of Life Flutes are electronically tuned for accuracy and finished with environmentally safe natural oil and wax finishes for your safety as well as mine. Each flute is individually voiced for strength and quality of the sound as well as playability. They feature a modest back pressure, play well softly but especially love to be pushed. Each flute I make comes with my concern for your satisfaction in mind. Each is line bored from a premium solid wood blank, not split, and finished with natural oils for my protection as well as yours. My workmanship and your satisfaction are guaranteed.
**Disclaimer: Some of the flutes that I make are Native American in Style only. My products are not Native made, I am not and make no claims to any Native heritage or Tribal affiliation.
