Cypress Key of Dm, Native American Style Flute Tree of Life Designs

Beautiful Native Style flute in the key of Dm from Tree of Life Designs. Bored from a solid blank of lovely figured cypress wood, and trimmed with fully-tenoned mouth and foot caps of Osage orange wood, with rings of walnut for a nice contrast.

The classic style bird/block is made from walnut with a cypress core on an inlaid walnut nest, and is secured with contrasting deer hide laces. Below the nest is an abalone cabochon that centers my hand burned morning star, with smaller abalone cabochons inlaid between the sound holes for a sparkly touch. Finished with multiple coats of hand rubbed, food safe natural oils and waxes. This nicely balanced flute measures a total of 26" in length with a 1-1/8" bore diameter. The flute is surprisingly lightweight for its size and weighs 11.9 oz.

Tuned to a D minor pentatonic scale the voice is resonant and loud, mellow but very responsive and has excellent projection and stage presence. All of my flutes are currently provided with a hand sewn fleece draw string bag for protection. All flutes are shipped Priority Mail with signature required and insurance.
