Curly Ambrosia Maple Key of Em, Native American Style Flute Tree of Life Designs

Beautiful Native Style flute in the key of Em from Tree of Life Designs. Bored from a solid blank of beautifully figured and curly ambrosia maple, and trimmed with fully tenoned bands of zebrawood at the mouth and foot end. "Ambrosia" describes a fungal discoloration caused by wood-boring ambrosia beetles, which creates lovely streaks and interesting patterns in the wood. The classic bird/block is made from birdseye maple with a zebrawood core on an inlaid maple nest, and is secured with contrasting deer hide laces. Finished with multiple coats of hand rubbed, food safe natural oils and waxes. Below the inlaid nest is an abalone cabochon that centers my hand burned morning star. This nicely balanced flute measures a total of 23" in length with a 1" bore diameter. The flute weighs 11 oz.

Tuned to an E minor pentatonic scale the voice is warm, responsive, resonant, and beautifully mellow. All of my flutes are currently provided with a hand sewn fleece draw string bag for protection. All flutes are shipped Priority Mail with signature required and insurance.
