Eastern Red Cedar Key of D#m, Native American Style Flute Tree of Life Designs

Beautiful Native Style flute in the key of D#m from Tree of Life Designs. Bored from a solid blank of beautifully red Eastern red cedar, trimmed with fully tenoned black walnut caps at the mouth and foot end, with contrasting bands of box elder with thin burn rings above and below.

The claw style bird/block is made from black walnut with a boxelder core on an inlaid walnut nest, and is secured with contrasting deer hide laces. Finished with multiple coats of hand rubbed, food safe natural oils and waxes. Below the inlaid nest is inlaid crushed turquoise that centers my hand burned morning star. This very lightweight and nicely balanced flute measures a total of 23-1/2" in length with a 1" bore diameter. The flute weighs 8 oz.

Tuned to an D# minor pentatonic scale the warm, round voice projects very well and has great action. This flute also makes a great backpacker flute for a lower key flute, due to its light weight. All of my flutes are currently provided with a hand sewn fleece draw string bag for protection. All flutes are shipped Priority Mail with signature required and insurance.
