Root End Golden Bamboo, Key of Dm, Native American Style Flute, Tree Of Life Designs

Native Style flute made from a heavy walled, root end golden bamboo in the key of Dm. This flute was created from my own local bamboo harvest in 2010, and is well-aged and heat-treated. Features a mouthpiece of lovely contrasting purpleheart wood, with a classic style block of purpleheart with a maple core, and sits atop an inlaid nest of purpleheart, complimented with contrasting deer hide laces. The flute features a genuine onyx cabochon in my signature hand burned "morning star, and has artificial sinew wrap bindings. It is finished with many coats of a hand rubbed, natural oil and wax finish.

This is one sweet and mellow player with a solid and resonant voice with a strong volume. This flute has a bit of a stretch and the primary chamber is long, so may not be recommended for those where reach is a concern. Unique look reminiscent of a traditional Japanese shakuhachi flute with a hybrid construction that incorporates an inlaid wood nest for a full sound of a wooden flute, with the vibrance of bamboo. This flute is 28-1/2" in length and weighs 19 oz. The flute comes provided with a hand sewn fleece draw string bag for storage and protection.
