Honduran Mahogany, Key of E Native American Style Flute, Tree of Life Designs

Beautiful Native Style flute in the key of E from Tree of Life Designs. Bored from a solid blank of richly figured Honduran mahogany and trimmed with fully-tenoned mouth and foot caps of mahogany with lovely mango beauty rings. The classic style bird/block is made from mahogany with a mango core on an inlaid mahogany nest, and is secured with black and brown contrasting deer hide. Finished with multiple coats of hand rubbed, food safe natural oils and waxes.

Below the inlaid nest is a colorful mother-of-pearl cabochon that centers my hand burned morning star. This solid and nicely balanced flute measures a total of 24-1/2" in length with a 1" bore diameter, and weighs 9 oz.

Tuned to an E minor pentatonic scale the voice is warm, vibrant, mellow, and round with a haunting quality. The flute has a classically beautiful look, with real stage presence, and superb "action." All of my flutes are currently provided with a hand sewn fleece draw string bag for protection. All flutes are shipped Priority Mail with signature required and insurance.
