Golden Bamboo Low A#m (Bbm) Sideblown Native Style Flute from Tree of Life Designs

Uniquely crafted Native style flute in the key of Low A#m (Bb). Made from locally harvested long-aged golden bamboo from my own 2010 harvest. This has been heat treated without flame to retain the beautiful light straw color. The mouthpiece is crafted from figured maple. The nest and classic style block are crafted of maple with a laminated mango core in the block, and is secured with contrasting deer hide laces. The open head end of the flute was sealed and inlaid with bright blue cultured turquoise, and a cultured turquoise cabochon is inlaid just beneath the nest and serves as the center for my hand burned "morning star". The flute also features brown artificial sinew bindings.

This Flute is FUN and easy to play, and a great addition to any collection with it's low and mellow and resonant voice. For such a big low flute it is an easy reach and lightweight for the average person. Overall length is 40". Length from the blow tube to the bottom hole is only 20" and the maximum finger spacing is 1.25", with offset finger holes for ease of play. Bore is approximately 1-1/2". Layout is for a right handed (right hand low) player. The flute weighs 15 oz.

All of our flutes are currently provided with a hand sewn fleece draw string bag for protection. All flutes are shipped Priority Mail with signature required and insurance.
